potpourri once referred to taking a bunch of miscellaneous dried up old plants you had lying around and calling it an air freshener.

it’s fitting, then, that game shows and variety TV of the seventies repurposed the word to mean ‘miscellaneous crud.’

also, poutpourii rhymes with poetry, so this seems like a good place for a few poems.
